Chairperson - Kathryn Cope
The Chairperson’s role is to chair the monthly meetings and committee meetings. To represent Forest Town & District U3A to other U3As, the local area Network, the Region and the national U3A and to provide leadership to the committee, ensuring the committee fulfils its responsibilities.

The Vice chairperson deputises where necessary for the chairperson in any of the chairperson’s duties and provides an alternative source of motivation to the committee and the whole U3A.

Our Business Secretary keep us legal and in order, she arranges the Committee meetings and make reports and returns to various bodies such as the National u3a office and Charity Commission.

The Treasurers' have overall oversight of our finances and the production of our Accounts.
They deal with our monetary income, membership subscriptions etc. and payments for those groups who organise visits, experiences, and trips for their members.

The Group Co-ordinators' role is to support our group leaders.
They are the “go to” persons for information and advice about interest groups and help to set up new groups and deal with room and venue bookings for groups.

The Membership Secretaries maintain our Membership records, enrol new members and deal with any queries regarding your membership. .
Please remember to tell them if you move house or change your email address or phone number.
The Membership secretary also submits a current list of members at the appropriate time to the organisation that distributes your TAM magazine.

Contact Welfare Officer - Angelina Taylor
Angelina as taken on the role of Welfare Officer to liaise with group leaders and other members in order to identify individual members who might like some moral support.
Angelina will purchase and send cards, as is felt appropriate and keep Committee Members informed as and when it is felt necessary.

The Social events sub-committee is team of committee members and members of our u3a, they arrange and organise our events, holiday trips and days out (other than the National Trust visits which are organised by Ann Stanford), they also find our speakers for the monthly meetings.
Newsletter editor - Helen Riby
Helen produces our colourful monthly newsletter which aims to keep you up to date with all our local u3a news!
Web Editor - and Beacon administrator: Bob Hunt
The Website editor is responsible for keeping our website up to date (a good source of information and news by the way) and also looks after our technical requirements.
The Beacon system is a secure online database we use for our membership records and communication between committee members and group leaders.
