Our Social team have worked hard arranging days out and trips for 2026.
Your place for days out and trips can be booked at the Monthly General meetings on the First Friday of each month in the Forest Town Arena.
Please note - Places cannot be reserved unless full payment or deposit is paid at time of booking.
Wednesday 17th. June 2026 - North Notts Party in the Forest
The North Notts Neighbourhood Group will be holding their second Party in the Forest at Sherwood Forest, Edwinstowe on Wednesday 17 June from 10.00 to 15.00.
This event is for all u3as in the North Notts area.
There will be entertainment during the day from various u3as and all u3as will have their own stands. Sherwood u3a will be providing games throughout the day.
Come along and support Forest Town & District u3a at this special event.

NOTE: If you have any table top games that you think may be suitable for this event please let me know.

SOLD OUT - Friday 26th. June 2026 - Ramsdale Adventure Golf
At 10.30 on Friday 26 June we will be trying our skills at Adventure Golf at Ramsdale Golf Club, Calverton.
It will then be into the clubhouse for a very tasty steak pie, chips and peas, followed by sweet of the day. Price £21.50.
If you would like to take part in this fun morning names will be taken along with your £21.50 at the April, May and June General Meetings.
Saturday 18th July - Summer Ball
This will be our 4th Summer Ball.
“Fire & Ice” and “Under Cover Sixties” will be back to entertain with their 60’s and 70’s show,
Complimentary drink on arrival and buffet.
£15 per person, tickets will be on sale from May’s General Meeting onwards, friends of Forest Town & District u3a welcome

Turkey & tinsel - Christmas 2026 here we come!
Our social group has reserved a four-night break in Mold on the North Wales Border for 23-27 November 2026.
We will be staying at Beaufort Park Hotel if you want to check it out online. https://www.beaufortparkhotel.co.uk/
There are single, twin and double rooms available. The singles will carry a surcharge of between £18 - £40 for the stay, dependent on how many single rooms are booked.
The cost, apart from supplements, is £409 per person.
Liverpool, Chester and Llangollen are optional visits at no extra charge.
Deposits of £50 will be taken at the meeting. No reservations can be made without a deposit.
Some ground floor rooms with step-in showers are available but carry a further surcharge of £80 for the stay.
Events being organised include the Summer Ball, a Forest Tavern Day in August, a trip to Matlock in September, Juke Box Jury in October and a party in December.
